Charity

Most of who I am is rooted with a deep belief in our power of community: we are stronger together. As a female, I support the work of Loveland Foundation, who connects Black women and girls with access to therapy; Planned Parenthood, who provides reproductive education and healthcare; and Take Back the Night, who empowers survivors of sexual assault to find healing and reclaim their wholeness. I’m also the daughter of a retired military officer and little sister of a combat veteran; we don’t do enough to preserve or protect the mental health of the young men and women who serve and protect, us. I am passionate about veteran’s services and believe in the heart of Meghan’s Foundation: to offer a path toward healing, by way of yoga and meditation, for veterans experiencing PTSD. And finally, as a human with a heart and proud dog mom of the most charismatic Rottweiler you’ll ever meet, I support the local superheroes of Austin Pets Alive and the crusaders at Traffic 911, who fight the big fight to end human trafficking.
